Anna Sandgren
associate professorAnna Sandgren is Associate Professor in Caring Sciences at Linnaeus University in Sweden and Director of Center for Collaborative Palliative Care, which is a collaboration between Linnaeus University, Region Kronoberg and the eight municipalities in the county. Research
Her research area is focused on palliative care, but is also involved in research in heart failure care, intensive care, psychiatric care, covid-19 care, etc. The research is conducted in various contexts as well as from different perspectives. Anna has experience of various research designs and research methods, both qualitative and quantitative. She is a Classic Grounded Theory Fellow, has organized several Grounded Theory Seminars with Dr Barney Glaser, Mill Valley, USA and is board member of The Grounded Theory Advisory Board.
Anna has been involved in implementation of Serious Illness Care Program (SICP) in Sweden since 2016. She is the PI of a research project with implementation of SICP in hospitals. She has together with her research group, as well as with international researchers, published several papers focusing on SICP.
