Beatriz Carlsson Pecharromán is a PhD student in the Global Humanities PhD Program at the Department of Film and Literature, and a member of the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences on Colonial and Postcolonial studies.
Her doctoral project focuses on analysing how nostalgic motifs travel between cultures and, in particular, how such motifs have been influenced by Western imperialism. Other research interests include intermediality, feminist theory and ecocriticism.
