I am a registered nurse specialized in surgical care and an urotherapy. I work part time clinically, as an urotherapist at the urology clinic in Region Kalmar County. I am also a PhD-student in caring science at the Linnaeus University, the Faculty of Health and Life Science.
Research
My PhD-project is focused on evaluating effects of an eHealth support system (EPATH- electronic Patient Activation in Treatment at Home) on prostate specific symptoms, patient activation and well-being, in men who has undergone surgery for prostate cancer. This is done through an RCT at three sites.
I am part of the research group Re-Action (former called SSiHC). My main supervisor is Professor Mirjam Ekstedt and my co-supervisors are Amanda Hellström and Kristina Schildmeijer.
Furthermore, I am part of a spin-off project from my PhD-project, which develop and evaluate a cognitive behavior therapy support online for sexual rehabilitation after prostate cancer.
