I have a PhD in caring science (2024) and is a registered nurse (2004) specialized in surgical care (2012) and urotherapy (2018). My thesis examined support for patients and the role of ehealth in rehabilitation after radical prostatectomy.
I work clinically as a urotherapist/specialist nurse at Urology clinic at Region Kalmar County and I am a member of several national groups to improve the care and digital support for patients with cancer. These groups are the prostate cancer care program group, the functional group for my care plan, and I am chair of my care plan prostate cancer.
Research
My research interests are cancer rehabilitation and digital support. My research aims, among other things, is to contribute to active and participating patients, person-centredness and support in rehabilitation. A particular focus area is sexual health and well-being in cancer rehabilitation.
I am part of the research group ReAction. The ReAction group conducts research that aims to improve the conditions of healthcare to implement good and safe care in an equal way through the patient's care chain, as well as to strengthen individuals' ability to actively promote their own health.
I am involved in the research projects: "Online-based support for sexual rehabilitation after prostate cancer" and "Sexual health in pelvic cancer". I also supervise doctoral students at Linnaeus University.
