I joined the Department of Criminology and Police Work in 2021 as a senior lecturer in Criminology. I have previously lectured at Malmö University at the department of Global and Political Studies, as well as at the department of Criminology. I hold a PhD from the Centre for Law and Society, University of Edinburgh.
Teaching
I teach courses on Criminology, Crime prevention, criminological theory, and dissertation writing.
Research
My current research interests involve two areas: the relationship between crime, social science and politics, and criminal justice education. I have written previously on the crime of genocide and have received funding for various projects in higher education learning that include criminological theory and internationalization of criminal justice education. I am currently researching the use of crime prevention knowledge within public sector institutions in relation to trust. My current pedagogical work, on the other hand, explores reflexivity as a method of teaching theory in criminology.
