I am a PhD Student in social work and am part of the research groups GAVIS and RISCY at Linnaeus University.
Since 2020, I am also a part of the Nordic Interdisciplinary Network for Research on Violence.
Teaching
My teaching and supervising students' independent work in social work. I have mainly taught courses including intimate partner violence and men's vulnerability.
Research
My dissertation is within the knowledge area of intimate partner violence (IPV) with a focus on men's experiences of violence by a female counterpart. I am interested in how men describe, make sense of, and relate to their experiences, and which consequences violence has on their self-perception, self-presentation and gender identity.
My research mainly consists of qualitative narrative interviews with men who have experienced heterosexual IPV, but also group interviews with professionals within specialised IPV units and non-governmental organisations specialised in men subjected to heterosexual IPV.
