David Calås is a senior lecturer in Sport Science, specializing in management.

His research focuses on organization and entrepreneurship in the field of arts, culture and spots. In this area, David's research interests include the use of sociological approaches and philsophy to give rise to new ways of understanding organizational and entrepreneurial phenomena. In his dissertation project Entrepreneurship as Organizing Desire, he explored how desire is organized in entrepreneurial practices by engaging with the thinking of French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu and studying the creation of a private art venue in Sweden.
