My area of research and teaching is management accounting, especially with focus on public sector organizations.

Organizationally, I pursue my research within the research environments of Centre for Management Accounting Research (CMAR) and Forum for Research on Professions (FPF) at Linnaeus University. More specifically, my research focus on behavioral aspects of management accounting and how new instruments for control influence and are influenced by the context they are implemented in. My empirical interest has primarily been the health care sector. Theoretically I have focused on new institutional theory, translation, diffusion and actor-network theory, professional theory and more general theories on public sector control.

My teaching expertise is closely related to my research. Primarily I teach on intermediate, advanced level and master courses within the areas of cost accounting, performance measurements and process based management control. Besides this I also supervise student theses within the area of management accounting.
