Senior lecturerFredrik Hanell is a Senior Lecturer in Library and Information Science and Director of Studies.
Teaching
Fredrik Hanell teaches on both campus- and distance courses on the bachelor programs in Library and Information Science, including courses on scholarly communication, profession ethics, and media- and information literacy. Fredrik also teaches digital methods and netnography on the master program in Digital Humanities.
Within the Erasmus+ project DiMPAH I am involved in developing new Open Educational Resources on digital methods.
Research
Fredrik Hanell holds a PhD in Library and Information Studies from Lund University (2019). He is a Senior Lecturer in Library and Information Science at the Department of Cultural Sciences, Linnaeus University, Sweden. His research focuses on media- and information literacy, digital methods, and critical library studies.
Between 2021-2023 I am participating in the research project "Public libraries in a changed political landscape – a democratic mission for a new era?" (learn more here).
During 2022, Fredrik is the co-editor of Nordic Journal of Library and Informations Studies (NJLIS).
