My main interest is industrial automation of industry which includes the ongoing digitalization in industry together with concepts such as smart manufacturing, robotization and industry 4.0.
Teaching
I am currently teaching production technology in the industrial management program. The course includes modern concepts for production systems, automation and robotics. This includes software tools like SIMIO for modelling, simulation and analysis of production systems, as well as others like RobotStudio for simulation and programming of robots.
Research
My research is focusing on applied industrial robotics with examples such as control of process and robot in combination in order to reach specific key parameters (productivity, quality, flexible production, etc.). Examples on areas for research are robotic friction stir welding (FSW), safe systems for collaboration between operator and robot, and configuration of systems in industrial production.
