Irene is a PhD student in the School of Business and Economics, focusing on International Business. Her research focus lies in the internationalisation of firms, with a particular emphasis on digital platforms operating within emerging markets. She is also interested in digital transformation and its innovative integration. Additionally, she engages in the teaching of various international business and entrepreneurship-related courses at the undergraduate and master's levels.

Irene also collaborates with various digital platforms operating in emerging markets. Her educational background includes an MSc in International Business Strategy, an MBA in Finance, and a BCom in Finance. Her extensive professional experience spans various roles within finance, accounting, and human resources management, acquired through corporate positions held in both Sweden and Kenya.
