Dr Jan Alpenberg is an Associate Professor in Business Administration with a focus on management accounting and finance. Jan is responsible for the Master of Business Administration (Civilekonom) programme.

Teaching

Jan has a long teaching experience in the Business Administration subject area and teaches mainly in advanced courses in finance and business management in the Master of Business Administration (Civilekonom) program and in the master's program in "Business Process Control and Supply Chain Management". He is also an examiner and supervisor for C- and D-level thesis work.

Research

The research is conducted within the research group Center for Management Accounting Research (CMAR) at Linnaeus University. Jan's research area is in the areas of financial and operational management, investments, financing and purchasing/procurement. Recently, his research has focused on behavioral aspects of management control, how new control tools affect the business and its employees, and innovations in procurement. His empirical area of ​​interest is primarily the manufacturing industry, small businesses, and public organizations.
