Jan Brandin
ProfessorI have been active in R&D since 1983 when I started as PhD student at Chemical Engineering. Lund University (kemisk teknologi, LTH). After my Ph.D. exam I work for 13 years in a R&D company developing catalysts and catalytic processes in the area of catalytic combustion, deodorisation, hydrogen and synthesis gas production. For the last years I have also worked with catalytic conversion of biomass into fuels and higher value products, for instance production of Green LPG.
I would categorize my area of R&D activity as catalysts and catalytic processes in energy conversion and utilization. This area covers not only catalytic combustion, synthesis gas generation from various sources, hydrogen production etc, but also catalytic emission reduction (for instance CO, HC, NOx and NH3) from energy conversion and utilization
