Joacim Hansson is professor of Library and Information Science.

Joacim Hansson teaches primarily at docctoral courses in Library and Information Science and the Digital Humanities Master Programme.

- Knowledge Organisation, primarily classification research.

- Document Studies, primarily on digital respresentation of cultural heritage documents and artefacts.

- Library Research, primarily on institutional identity of various types of libraries.

- History and philosophy of Library and Information Science.
