Koraljka Golub is the head of the iInstitute, Linnaeus University's iSchool and co-leader of Linnaeus University's Digital Humanities Initiative. She is also coordinating Huminfra’s work on Swedish DARIAH.

Her teaching and research focus lies in the field of digital libraries and information retrieval, with particular focus on topics related to information retrieval and knowledge organisation. 

Koraljka takes part in teaching and coordinated courses in the Digital Humanities Master.

Research

Koraljka has been researching topics related to knowledge organization, integrating existing knowledge organization systems with social tagging and/or automated subject indexing, and evaluating resulting end-user information retrieval.

Her recently completed projects are:

  1. Erasmus+ project Digital Methods Platform for Arts and Humanities (DiMPAH), project leader
  2. The Knowledge Foundation's Avans project Development of a new master programme in Digital Humanities at Linnaeus University, project leader
  3. Riksbankens jubileumsfond (RJ) project Queerlit database

Her current research projects are:

  1. Huminfra, Swedish national infrastructure supporting digital and experimental research in the Humanities, Swedish DARIAH coordinator and member of the management group
  2. Swedish National Doctoral School in Digital Humanities: Data, Culture and Society – Critical Perspectives (DASH), Linnaeus University’s representative
  3. Innovative Cultural Entrepreneurship in Collaborative Co-creative Research – InKuiS, project part leader
  4. Artificial Intelligence as a risk and opportunity for the authenticity of archives, project leader
  5. Open access to research data, sub-project in the Open Science project at Linnaeus University, project leader

Commissions

Koraljka is the Chair of the European / African Region of iSchools. She is also Linnaeus University's representative in EOSC as well as a member of the International Society for Knowledge Organization’s Scientific and Technical Advisory Council (ISKO STAC) within which she has initiated the working group on Subject Access Metadata.
