I am a Senior Lecturer in Caring Science and Head of Department at the Department of Health and Caring Sciences.

I have a background as a registered nurse in medical care, but I have also worked in municipal healthcare, psychiatric care, and school health services.

Teaching

I have taught for many years (since 2002), primarily in the Bachelor of Nursing programme, but also in the specialist nursing programmes in psychiatric care and elderly care.

In recent years, my teaching has mainly focused on family-focused nursing, systems theory, and the supervision and examination of bachelor’s and master’s theses.

Research

My research primarily focuses on three areas; person‑centred patient participation, life after cardiac arrest, and family‑focused nursing.

I am also engaged in ongoing research on teaching nursing students practical skills in the Clinical Skill Centre.

Commissions

Since January 2025, I have served as Head of Department at the Department of Health and Caring Sciences, and previously (2017–2024) I was Deputy Head of the same department.

I am a member of the steering group for Academic Primary Care Öland (APÖ).

I am also a member of the steering group for the Swedish Family Care Competence Centre (Nka).
