I am a PhD student in the Biology and Environmental Science Department. I hold a MSc in Geology, specializing in Geochemistry and Mineralogy from Saint Petersburg State University.
Research
My research focuses on acid sulfate soils in boreal zones and their impact on interconnected ecosystems. I am particularly interested in exploring methods to treat these soils to stabilize pH-Eh conditions and control the release of metals and sulfates. Additionally, I study the mineralogy of these soils, with a specific focus on Fe-oxyhydroxysulfates (schwertmannite and jarosite) and how transformation processes affect metal retention and partitioning under changing conditions.
