I hold a PhD in Nordic languages and am employed as a senior lecturer in Swedish at the Department of Swedish Language. I have a wide interest in critical perspectives and the relationship between text and discourse, in research as well as in teaching.
Teaching
I specialize in teaching and supervising fields of study such as text and discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, academic writing, and rhetoric. I am currently involved in several courses, including Language Counselling and Corpus Planning (4SV200), Non-fiction Translation Master Programme (4EN304, etc.), and many others at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Research
In 2020, I defended my thesis called Från beslut till broschyr. Intertextualitet, äldre och kultur i texter inom en statlig satsning at the University of Gothenburg. The thesis deals with how intertextual relations are manifested in texts produced within a government initiative on arts for the elderly, and sheds light on how discourses on the elderly and the arts are articulated in texts from the initiative. The thesis is available here and contains an abstract and a summary in English. A review in English is available here.
I am associated with the Centre of Language for Specific Purposes (CLSP).
