I am a senior lecturer in Carine Science the Department of Health and Caring Sciences. My research is within the area of older people and their informal carers. My PhD-project focused on the driving forces behind the implementation and use of digital technology in the care of older people and the consequences for older people and their informal carers from a Swedish perspective. I belong to the Swedish Family Care Competence centre, SFCCC (In Swedish: Nationellt Kompetenscentrum Anhöriga, NKA) and I am also connected to the Sustainable Care: Connecting People and Systems, a research program at The University of Sheffield and to the Centre for Care, a collaboration between the Universities of Sheffield, Birmingham, Kent and Oxford, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Office for National Statistics, and three leading charities: Carers UK, the National Children's Bureau and the Social Care Institute for Excellence.
I'm a member of the Sustainable Care Early Career Researcher Network.
I have a background as a registered nurse with a specialist focus in operating room nursing and I hold a master’s degree in Caring Sciences.
Teaching
I’m teaching and supervising theses in the Nursing Program, undergraduate and advanced level, and I’m also course coordinator for the Philosophy of Science introduction course undergraduate level.
