I work as professor in timber engineering at the department of building technology. I am also acting as supervisor in two PhD projects concerning strength grading.
Teaching
Within the education I am teaching structural engineering in the bachelor program in civil engineering and advanced timber engineering in the master’s programme in structural engineering.
Research
My research area is timber with a focus on wood quality. It can be questions regarding the wood material such as shape stability, stiffness and strength as well as questions regarding connections. Within the national SIO-programme "BioInnovation" I have a role as Expert team leader for the area "Construction & Design".
