Since the spring of 2013 I am a PhD student in Maritime Sciences. I have previously worked as an international liaison officer at the Swedish Transport Agency, mainly with negotiations within the International Maritime Organisation and the EU. I have also a background as employee at the European Maritime Safety Agency where I primarily was working with inspections of maritime education and certification systems. I have also worked as a teacher at the Maritime Academy in Kalmar and I began my career as a seaman for about ten years. Presently, I conduct research in relation to impacts of shipping on the marine environment. The aim is to study human environmental behaviour in shipping-organizations. Basically I try to, find and understand, critical factors that either facilitate or act as barriers against positive environmental behaviour in the shipping industry.
