Mexhid Ferati

Dr. Mexhid Ferati is an Associate Professor of Informatics at Linnaeus University. With a wealth of international experience, he has served as a researcher and lecturer in esteemed institutions across the United States, North Macedonia, and Norway. His expertise lies in the field of Human-Computer Interaction, with a PhD completed from Indiana University in 2012.

Teaching

Dr. Ferati's teaching career is distinguished by his unwavering dedication to promoting courses on HCI/Interaction Design and Accessibility across various educational institutions. Notably, he played a pivotal role in developing and delivering courses in these areas at South East European University, filling a gap that previously existed. Presently, he remains actively involved in instructing multiple courses in the field of Interaction Design and Internet of Things at Linnaeus University. He is currently responsible for the following courses:

Research

His research interests encompass a broad spectrum, including Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Accessibility, Internet of Things, and STEM Education. Throughout his career, he has actively engaged in projects funded by prominent organizations such as the EU, STINT, EUniWell, Platform eHealth, NSF, and Google. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise as a reviewer for numerous international conferences and journals. Presently, he serves as the head of the Interaction Design Research Group.
