Nathalie Hauksson-Tresch holds a PhD in law from the University Robert Shuman in Strasbourg and a PhD in roman languages from the University of Gothenburg. She also has a bachelor's degree in Icelandic from the University of Iceland. She teaches various courses at all levels, especially orientated towards linguistics and the translation of non-fictional texts.

Her field of research is text linguistics, discourse analysis and the interdisciplinary connection between law and literature.
