I am a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Building Technology since August 2020.
My research activities are concentrated on the wood material mechanics as well as timber structures at different length scales. Theses activities include experimental works and numerical modelling in particular on the dowelled timber connections. That was the central point of my PhD realized at the University of Lorraine (France). The aim of my PhD was to propose a numerical modelling engineering tool for the design of dowelled timber connections with in-plane loading. It was part of a context explained before where the needs of the engineers for the design of these kind of connections are increasing in particular the connection stiffness estimation and the internal load distribution.
