The learning platform Moodle
Moodle is the digital learning platform where students and teachers meet and work. The platform contains tools for information, communication, and collaboration, as well as the teacher’s tools for administration.
At moodle.lnu.se you'll reach your course pages on the learning platform by logging in with the same details you use for login into Lnu.se/Student.
If your don't have a student account or if you've lost your password you can find help at Serviceportalen.

Through Linnaeus University’s student app, you can get notifications from your course rooms and from the University Library, etc. Read more and download the student app here.
Moodle also offers an app for smartphones and tablet computers.

Scheduled Moodle Service Windows
Our operating provider has set so-called service windows, fixed times when various system interventions can be carried out to keep the system up to date and secure.
Not every service window needs to be used, but the advantage of fixed times is that we know when it can occur. The time for the service windows is outside the flex-time for teaching and administrative staff.
The service windows for Moodle are the third non-holiday Friday of each month, 5 AM – 7 AM
There are also service windows for the data center, on Wednesdays and Thursdays 11 PM - 5 AM the first two weeks of each month. These service windows are used less often and we are notified two weeks in advance.
Scheduled service windows 2025
- 23 May 5:00-7:00 AM
- 19 June 5:00-7:00 AM (note: this is a Thursday)
- 25 July 5:00-7:00 AM
- 22 August 5:00-7:00 AM
- 19 September 5:00-7:00 AM
- 24 October 5:00-7:00 AM 21 November 5:00-7:00 AM
- 19 December 5:00-7:00 AM
Please note that urgent technical interventions may be needed outside these times, which will then be announced under the university's operational information.
The learning platform CoursePress
In many respects, the platform is open, meaning that you do not have to log in to take part of much of the information. However, in order to get the full experience and in order to take part in course-related discussions, you must log in using your student account.
All information you need about the course or programme that you are studying can be found on the learning platform. For communication, Adobe Connect is used as a supplement.
