The Stora Linné Scholarship
Are you a doctoral candidate or postdoctoral researcher employed at Linnaeus University?  Are you engaged in research on sustainable development? Do you seek funding for a planned research project in this field? Apply for the Stora Linné Scholarship, a grant of SEK 500,000 awarded jointly by Kalmar Municipality and Växjö Municipality.

Scholarship from the Irene and Bo Adolfsson Foundation 

The Irene and Bo Adolfsson Foundation announces scholarships of 50,000 SEK to students at Linnaeus University who were born in Kalmar County. The purpose is to award scholarships to young, talented and promising students at Linnaeus University. 

The application is now closed for 2025. Information for 2026 will come. 

Sparbankstiftelsen Kronan Scholarships

Every year, Sparbanksstiftelsen Kronan awards a number of scholarships for outstanding theses at Linnaeus University, Halmstad University, and Blekinge Institute of Technology. 2025 a total of 14 scholarships were granted. The scholarship is aimed at theses that contribute to societal benefit in areas such as welfare, healthcare, the public sector, new technology, and entrepreneurship. Your work could be recognized with either 25,000 SEK or 50,000 SEK.

100,000 SEK Scholarship for Innovation and Design

The Innovation and Design for a Meaningful World Scholarship supports a talented student each year whose work in innovation and design addresses important societal challenges. The goal is to create projects that generate real value and promote human well-being, sustainability, and social development. The scholarship emphasizes the integration of design, leadership, and creativity to solve complex problems with empathy. The winner receives 100,000 SEK to further develop their meaningful work.

Brixo Scholarship

Brixo believes in supporting and encouraging future academics and therefore wants to give an extra boost to students’ educational travels. Here, anyone contributing to the advancement of knowledge in any subject can apply for a scholarship of 10 000 SEK. Eligible applicants are fulltime students at a Swedish university or college who are registered residents of Sweden and are writing a bachelor’s or master’s thesis during the current semester. The application deadline is April 15.

Casivo Scholarship

Casivo annually awards 10,000 SEK to students in Sweden who have written a C‑ or D‑level thesis in digital marketing. The thesis should contribute to a better understanding of the challenges within digital marketing, preferably with a focus on search engine optimization. The application deadline is December 31 each year.

Din Psykolog's Thesis Scholarship

Din Psykolog offers students from colleges and universities in Sweden the opportunity to apply for our annual scholarship of 5,000 SEK. The scholarship can be sought by students writing a bachelor’s or master’s thesis related to the human psyche. The aim of this scholarship is to encourage the development of our understanding of the human psyche, which we believe could lead to new and improved treatment options for digital mental health care in the future. The application period is from April 30 to October 31 each year.

Ekonomival.se Scholarship

Each semester, Ekonomival awards a scholarship of 5,000 SEK to a student who undertakes international studies or whose thesis at the C- or D-level contributes to increasing public awareness and knowledge of personal finance. The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose thesis idea or international studies best meet these criteria, as judged by the chosen jury.

Enkla Media's Scholarship in Economics

Enkla Media is offering a scholarship of 5,000 SEK aimed at students in Sweden who are writing a bachelor’s or master’s thesis in economics, for topics such as personal finance, business economics, debt, digital payment solutions, fintech, or the financial market. It is also available for those planning to study economics abroad. The scholarship is awarded twice a year.

Factoringgruppen´s Thesis Scholarship

Factoringgruppen´s scholarship is awarded to a thesis that, in an inspiring way, highlights issues related to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises or sports associations. The thesis may preferably address payment flows, liquidity challenges, and/or financing in connection with growth or sustainable transition.

The scholarship is worth 10,000 SEK. The application deadline is September 30, 2026.

Fastighetsägarna´s Thesis Scholarship

Fastighetsägarna GFR Project Fund supports projects and research in urban development, the real estate market, and housing-related social issues. Since 2023, they have annually awarded a thesis scholarship to promote academic studies within these areas. The scholarship amounts to SEK 30,000, and the thesis must have a theme with a clear connection to the real estate industry. The application deadline is 31 July 2026.

Finansis Scholarship for Studies Abroad

Finansis awards a scholarship for studies abroad twice a year. For the autumn semester, the application deadline is December 31, and for the spring semester, the application deadline is May 31. The scholarship amount is 5 000 SEK.

Finansvalp Scholarship

Finansvalp is an independent information website aimed at helping individuals and businesses learn more about finance, loans, and other financial services. Finansvalp awards a scholarship of 7,500 SEK to students in Sweden who are writing or will write a bachelor’s or master’s thesis in economics. The deadline for applications is December 31 each year.

Helgo Zettervall’s Fund

The National Property Board of Sweden (Statens fastighetsverk) allocates a portion of the returns from the Helgo Zettervall Fund “to promote the development of Swedish architectural design.” Scholarships are awarded annually for educational, development, and research projects within the field of architecture. Students at technical universities, doctoral candidates, researchers, and practicing professionals are all eligible to apply. The application period runs from 11 February to 28 April 2026 and is submitted using the application form together with an attached CV. Notification of decisions is provided each year in October.

Krea Scholarship

Krea have created a scholarship to promote entrepreneurship and give young entrepreneurs the opportunity to create their own path. Those eligible to apply are students who run their own business. The scholarship amounts to SEK 10,000, and the application deadline is May 31, 2026.

Kreditio Thesis Scholarship

Kreditio's scholarship is a financial aid in personal finance, offering you a chance to win 5000 SEK for your bachelor’s or master’s thesis. Kreditio welcomes theses from all areas of economics but has a particular interest in topics related to consumer credit and personal finance.

Kreditkoll offers a scholarship of 5000 SEK awarded to students who are either studying abroad or writing C- or D-level theses in fields such as technology, security, law, economics, etc. The scholarship is awarded twice a year.

Kreditkort24 offers a scholarship of 7,000 SEK for economics students who are currently studying abroad or planning to do so. The scholarship is awarded once a year, and the application deadline is December 31.

Kredity Scholarship – An Annual Scholarship of 5,000 SEK

Every spring semester, the Kredity Scholarship of 5,000 SEK is awarded to the students who present the best thesis idea related to economics. A broad interpretation is applied, so contributions covering trade, economic policy, finance, and other related fields are welcome. The scholarship can be applied for by all students who are writing a bachelor’s, master’s, or postgraduate thesis.

Min Doktor Scholarship in Digital Healthcare

Min Doktor offers a scholarship of 10,000 SEK to the winner of their annual essay contest. The scholarship can be applied for by students who have written a thesis at the bachelor’s, master’s, or postgraduate level at a Swedish university or college during the past academic year. The thesis must focus on digital healthcare, but the topic can be approached from various perspectives, such as from a patient or caregiver viewpoint, or from communication, societal, or product development perspectives.

Mystep Scholarship

Mystep is a comparison site for personal loans, mortgage loans, and business loans. Twice a year, Mystep awards a scholarship worth 5,000 SEK to the best bachelor’s or D-level thesis idea in economics. The funds can be used to finance literature, travel and interviews.

The Swedish technology company Ozoneair awards a thesis scholarship of 5,000 SEK each semester. The thesis should be within the fields of technology, innovation, or entrepreneurship. The deadline for applications for the spring semester is April 30, and for the autumn semester, October 31.

Plus1 – Strutsekonomi-scholarship

Plus1 awards an annual scholarship of 10,000 SEK to the student they believe has contributed the best thesis or tip for managing a student budget. Eligible applicants are full-time students enrolled in post-secondary education and registered residents of Sweden. The application deadline is November 30, 2026.

Raqs Thesis Scholarship

Raqs offers students the opportunity to apply for an SEO scholarship to write a thesis on digital marketing, search engine optimization, or search engines in general. The scholarship of 5,000 SEK can be applied for by those who are about to or are currently writing a master's or bachelor's thesis at a university or college in Sweden. Riksbyggen´s Anniversary Fund Den Goda Staden

Scholarships for ideas about sustainable cities. Riksbyggen’s Anniversary Fund Den Goda Staden awards scholarships to support research, development, and education aimed at improving living environments in areas such as architecture, construction technology, property management, energy supply, environmental protection, and urban and traffic planning. The application deadline is 28 February 2026.

Sambla Scholarship for Studying Abroad

Sambla Group AB offers a scholarship of 10,000 SEK to students enrolled at a Swedish university or college who have already studied abroad or are planning to do so. With this scholarship, Sambla aims to motivate students to study abroad.

Scholarship for a Clean Air Environment in Kalmar County

The Kalmar County Air Quality Association annually awards scholarships to promote and encourage environmental efforts within the air quality sector in Kalmar County. The association now offers a scholarship valued at 10,000 SEK per year, which can be shared among multiple applicants. The purpose of the scholarship is to facilitate, encourage, and finance activities and investigations that promote a healthy air environment in Kalmar County. The scholarship is awarded annually and is applied for in writing with a motivation and a proposed candidate. The application deadline is always December 31.

Scholarship for Economics and Finance Students

The Loan Scholarship is awarded to a student whose thesis contributes to increased public knowledge in the field of personal finance. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote general knowledge in economics and to reward the work behind it. The scholarship amounts to SEK 5,000. The application deadline is November 30.

Scholarship for Improved Work Environment

AJ Products offers a scholarship aimed at supporting students with new ideas and projects to improve workplaces of the future. The scholarship is worth 10,000 SEK and targets students within ergonomics, health, work science, and design. The application should include a description of an idea, project, product, or work method that can make a workplace more ergonomic, productive, and enjoyable.

Scholarships from STTF

The Swedish Wood Technology Forum (STTF) aims to promote the technical, commercial, and skill development within the Swedish wood machinery industry. They offer scholarships for internships and thesis projects during studies. Applications are reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Smålands Gille in Stockholm Scholarship

Smålands Gille in Stockholm is an association for people from Småland and Öland living in Stockholm. The purpose of the Gille is to bring members together for various activities to foster community and fellowship. An important part of its mission is to strengthen ties with the home region.

For the year 2025, Smålands Gille in Stockholm announces a scholarship of thirty thousand (30,000) SEK. With this scholarship, the Gille aims to reward a thesis or equivalent work that addresses a subject connected to Småland or Öland. This may include topics such as history, culture, nature, business, or public administration. The thesis must be approved during the spring semester of 2025 or the autumn semester of 2025. The scholarship does not apply to licentiate or doctoral dissertations.

Eligible applicants are students at Jönköping University or at Linnaeus University in Kalmar and Växjö. Applications must be submitted digitally and the deadline is January 30, 2026. The application should include information about the applicant, the thesis, and any other relevant circumstances the applicant wishes to cite. The recipient of the scholarship will be notified in writing no later than March 31, 2026.

SFKH Scholarship

The Swedish Association for Physical Health (SFKH) invites students at Swedish universities and colleges to apply for their annual scholarship of 5,000 SEK. The scholarship is aimed at students writing bachelor’s or master’s theses focused on physical health.

The Roland Femting Foundation Scholarship Fund

The annual yield shall be distributed as scholarships to individuals in particular need, up to 27 years of age, registered residents of Alvesta and Växjö municipalities. Scholarships shall be awarded for studies within the applicant’s field at universities, colleges, upper secondary schools, municipal adult education centers, folk high schools, and comparable institutions. Scholarships may also be granted for study trips in connection with studies at the above-mentioned institutions. A scholarship may be awarded to more than one applicant, but no more than three, if funds allow. A scholarship may be awarded to the same person more than once.

Evaluation of received applications takes place in January, and notification together with payment to the recipients is made in February.

There is no specific application form. Applicants are asked to submit a personal letter during the application period. Describe a little about yourself, what you intend to use the scholarship for, and why you should be awarded a scholarship. The application deadline is December 31.

VANBRUUN AB annually awards a scholarship of 1,000 EUR for international studies to a student enrolled at a college, university, or vocational college in Scandinavia. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote international studies through exchange programs. The application period is from May to August.

VM-fotboll.se journalism scholarship

At VM-fotboll.se, they are passionate about journalism that makes a difference. They want to encourage students who dare to scrutinize, analyze, and develop the profession. That is why they are now awarding a scholarship of 5,000 SEK to the student (or student group) who has produced an exceptional piece of work in journalism during the academic year 2025/2026. Eligible applicants are students enrolled in journalism programs at universities or colleges, or journalism programs at folk high schools, who have written a Bachelor’s thesis (C-level), Master’s thesis (D-level), or a final degree project. The application deadline is December 1, 2026.
