Work as a mentor or note-taking support

As a note-taking support and/or mentor, you are employed by Linnaeus University, and you receive compensation for your work. The tasks involve assisting another student with note-taking or planning and organizing their studies.

Do you want to work as a mentor?

We are looking for students who want to work part-time as mentors for students with disabilities. The mentor assists the student in planning and organizing their studies.

You should be able to convey this to the student you are working with. You must have studied at least one semester at the university level yourself. You are expected to work with respect for the student and be responsive to their wishes and needs, within the framework of the assignment.

Mentorship involves a commitment of approximately 2 hours per week, and you will receive compensation for your work.

Do you want to work as a note-taking support

You receive the assignment by being asked by the student or through a request in the course Moodle.

As note-taking support, you are responsible for ensuring that the student receives your notes with educational support after the lecture/another occasion when you have taken notes. You agree on how the handover will take place. You do not need to transcribe the notes but try to write as clearly and structured as possible. The student you are taking notes for must be present. You will be paid for the time the lecture takes place. The compensation for note-taking support is SEK 84/hour for a student, SEK 101/hour for two or more students.
