Young Researchers Conference in Green and Blue Sustainable Development 2023
Welcome to the first annual Young Researchers Conference, 16 March 2023 - 17 March 2023 in Växjö.
The Linnaeus Knowledge Environments Green Sustainable Development and Water are pleased to announce their jointly sponsored conference for early career researchers in green and blue sustainable development.
The YRC is a two-day event aiming to:
- Share the research being done at LNU and promote networking between LNU´s young researchers
- Learn about multidisciplinary research by working on sustainability-related topics
To participate, please submit your abstract (150-300 words) briefly summarizing your research at LNU. The work will be presented as a poster during the conference.
There is no fee for attending this conference. Guests are welcome to join a dinner on the evening of the 16th at Teleborg Castle. Attendees will be offered complimentary travel to Växjö and accommodations for those living outside of Växjö.
PhD students will receive credits for attending the conference.

Poster submission
Your poster may illustrate a single experiment in your current or past research; or may be an overview of your research at Linnaeus University. Poster PDFs can be uploaded after you register, up until March 12. If you want to upload your poster later, go to the registration page and click "next."
The posters will be printed for you by the conference organizers.
Poster Guidelines
We have guidelines for you when preparing your poster presentation for the Young researcher’s conference.
Please note the following:
- Follow the template provided containing LNU and the conference logos (Use this template). The size of the poster is 70x100 cm and should be prepared in portrait orientation.
- Title should be in bold. Author’s affiliations (Department, Faculty) and e-mail addresses should be included.
- Text: a poster should be easily readable from a distance of 1 – 2 meters, and 1.5 or 2
lines of spaces should be used between each line. It is advised that authors should also pay attention to the following points:
- Headings should be 25% larger than normal text. Bold or other colors may be used.
- Suggested font sizes are:
- Main title: 70-80 pt (bold)
- Author: 60-70 pt
- Affiliation(s): 48 pt
- Email address: 30-40 pt
- Subheading: 36 pt
- Body of text: 20-30 pt
- Smaller fonts may be used in citations and acknowledgement.
