Application form to academic productivity and sustainable work methods
As academics, we spend a lot of time focusing on the content of our work, but sometimes we forget to pay attention to the work process, or how we work, think and act. However, the process is important to finish our projects on time and manage our stress levels.
This workshop shifts the focus from the what to the how, giving you strategies and practical techniques to finish your dissertation on time and feel good along the way. You will learn about units, the weekly schedule and the 80/20 principle and apply these tools to your own work situation). You thus get a toolbox for increased academic effectiveness that many PhD students have applied successfully to their own academic work. The toolbox consists of research-based approaches and proven techniques.
For me, it has had an enormous impact on my everyday life. I get more done in my working hours and no longer have to work evenings and weekends.
Date and time: 8th of October, 9.30-15.30 in Kalmar
The target group is doctoral students from all faculties, regardless of whether you are at the beginning, in the middle or at the end of your doctoral studies.
Places are limited to 40 and the selection will be based on when the application is submitted. First come, first served. Last day to apply is september 17, 2025.
Please note that the workshop will be in English, however you can still ask questions in Swedish.
Join Us for a Relaxed PhD Dinner
After the workshop, we’ve reserved tables at My Tho 65 from 17:00. If you’d like to keep the conversation going, come along for an informal evening with fellow doctoral students. You cover your own food and drinks, stay as long as you like, and enjoy a relaxed social setting. No program, just good company!
