- Guidlines when working with the floor centrifuges
Guiding rules when using the large floor centrifuges
You will not be able to enter the centrifuge room (41065) or are allowed to use the centrifuges, until you have had the proper introduction on how to use the centrifuges by Terese or Fredrik.
Before using the centrifuges:
- Always write your full name and phone number in the calendar, inkl which Rotor to use and RPM.
- It is not allowed to use the centrifuges on evenings, nights or weekends.
- Always make sure everything is clean and properly placed and secured before starting the centrifuge.
- OBS! The samples must be carefully weighted
- Never use parafilm on you tubes!
After using the centrifuges:
- Make sure that the canisters (if used), the rotors with lid and the inside the centrifuge is clean. No residues allowed. Always wipe of any kind of moist.
- Have you used the cooling function, make sure the centrifuge is dry (you might have to come back after it gets warmer again.
- Put the JA12-rotor upside down in the locker.
If Accident/leakage happens:
- Leakage from tubes. Clean everything thoroughly, with moist and dry wipes and water if necessary. Let the rotor dry before you it put back in the locker. If you need help, call for Terese or Fredrik.
- Something get stuck, Do not use any kind of tools! Call for help from the technicians or Terese and Fredrik
Misuse of the centrifuges will result in losing access to the centrifuges.
