After more than five decades of armed conflict and several failed peace processes, peace negotiations between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People´s Army (Farc-EP) have successfully come to an end in Havana, Cuba.

Dr. Pedro Valenzuela is a full Professor of Peace and Conflict at Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia. For more than two decades he has been involved in peace building activities at various levels, including dialogue with rebel movements, and has studied and accompanied experiences of nonviolent resistance at the grassroots level.
