Biomimetic Materials – from theory to application

The behaviour of the materials that make up ourselves and the world we see around us is governed by molecular recognition phenomena. Being able to develop materials with properties reminiscent of those we see in Nature, or even materials capable of functions not found in Nature, opens for new technologies.

In this seminar, Ian Nicholls, professor at Linnaeus University, shall present their efforts towards the development of biomimetic materials and their use in applications of environmental, medical and industrial interest.

Date: February 15
Time: 13:00-13:35
Location: Room Azur (Vi2166), 2nd floor, Vita
The seminar is in English and will be available later on LnuPlay
