about policing research and police investigation and search for missing persons in Scotland and Sweden
For over 18 years Dr Woolnough has conducted highly impactful research on missing persons used throughout the UK and is recognised internationally as expert in the area. As a Registered Forensic Psychologist, she has provided operational support to the police for high risk, protracted and suspicious missing person cases. In this seminar, she will talk about her research findings and their practical use the investigation and search for missing people. The seminar is a part of a collaborative research project about the Police assignment; Investigation and Search for missing persons. The project is hosted by the Center for Welfare Studies (CVS) at Borås University in collaboration with the Center for Advanced Research in Emergency Response (CARER) at Linkoping University and the Swedish Police Authority National training division, Training section 1 and the Scottish Institute for Policing Research (SIPR).
The lecturer/seminar/workshop address students and professionals and researchers interested in the Police and social work. It will be held in English and is free of charge.
