Sarah Mygind, “Cluster Works: Children’s Literature in Transmedia Motion”
Välkommen till det veckovisa IMS-seminariet!
This seminar is in English.
IMS, in collaboration with CHILLL, has invited Sarah Mygind (PhD, Assistant Professor at Comparative Literature and Center for Children’s Literature and Media, Aarhus University), who will give a presentation on “Cluster Works: Children’s Literature in Transmedia Motion”
Abstract:
Media works for children and young adults are increasingly designed, produced and experienced across digital as well as print-based media. These works do not necessarily exist in a clear hierarchical order with primary and secondary texts, on the contrary, the texts often work together to create a unified whole. With children’s literature as its point of departure, this talk will unfold some of the implications of this new transmedia condition.
