IMS Seminarium

Guests: Shannon Wells-Lassagne & Candice Lemaire, 'Borders in/of adaptation'

Välkommen till det veckovisa IMS-seminariet!

This seminar is in English.

This week we are visited by Shannon Wells-Lassagne and Candice Lemaire, who are guest editors of Interfaces. Image-Text-Language. Wells-Lassagne and Lemaire will present the special issue “Borders in/of adaptation” recently published as open access.

About "Borders in/of adaptation"

"[T]he nature of this volume, “Borders in/of Adaptation”, was intentionally broad, meant to encompass the many facets of contemporary adaptation studies (...) Our study of borders in adaptation first focuses on displacement, be it chronological, geographical, or metaphysical, thus foregrounding the idea of the border in a geopolitical sense as represented in different iterations of a narrative. (...) Our second section foregrounds these liminal spaces and thresholds of adaptation more explicitly" (Wells-Lassagne 2022).
