Creating ’Hope’

The project Creating ‘Hope’ is an on-going cross disciplinary research over an artwork by Erika Lagerbielke for The Cathedral of Lund 2023. The research is conducted by Erika Lagerbielke LNU, Lena Liepe LNU, Max Liljefors LU, Jayne Svenungsson LU and Lena Sjöstrand The Cathedral of Lund. The researchers cover the fields of fine art, art science and theology as science and practice. The group has been working on the project while the artwork was realized and have had access to the artistic process.

With dirty feet and hands, a woven carrier bag full of materials MYCKET will share parts of Trollperception in the Heartlands – artistic research to widen our imagination capacity. The story of how we formed a pack with urban planners Eljesa Kasa and Sofie Nilsson, Haninge municipality, and Max Goldstein, urban designer at Landskapslaget and co-created the new plan for Norra Folkparken.

Regaining creativity by relearning the act of writing

By switching the pencil to his left hand, Mats Kempe had to learn how to form the alphabetic letters all over again. Together with Olof Zachrisson, PhD in Clinical Neuroscience, and visual artist Patrik Stensson, Kempe set out to discover if the creativity and the actual texts could be influenced in a prosperous way by activating new parts of the brain and write under new collaborating circumstances.

Our vision is a research course on artistic grounds at MA-level open to staff at Linnaeus University where one’s own artistic practice is the starting point for a broader and deeper learning journey. We invite you to help shape this course by suggesting research activities, learning objectives and forms of examination. To make this course relevant for you, we wish to hear about your practice, as well as your dreams and worries about the integration of artistic research and education in the university.

Nature/human performative experience-making

Welcome to take part in a research creation workshop that aims to continue to be unknowing enough to find new knowledge. Questions that deal with a relational, critical, and post-humanist perspective on the nature/culture dichotomy is carried through the workshop. As well as questions of how artistic and pedagogical positions/stances and processes can work in relation to transformation and human change concerning the climate and species extinction crisis. The aim is to continue a conversation and collective reflection about forest/nature and human.
