This week we are visited by Anna Sofia Rossholm, Associate Professor in Cinema Studies, Stockholm University, who will give a presentation on "Adaptation and authorship across film and literature: Astrid Lindgren and Stina Bergman". The seminar will even include a discussion with Dagmar Brunow on screenplays. Read more below.
About the seminar
This presentation reflects on adaptation and authorship through an analysis of female literary authors who also wrote screenplays and collaborated with the film industry. The focus is on the authors/screenwriters Astrid Lindgren and Stina Bergman who represent different types of authorship and have different adaptation strategies. The presentation is followed by a conversation with Dagmar Brunow who will discuss Rossholm's ideas from the perspective of Brunow's own research on Elin Wägner's, Barbro Alving's and Astrid Lindgren's screenplays.
How to attend
It is possible to attend the seminar both from Dacke in Växjö and via zoom. Contact us at ims@lnu.se if you want to participate via zoom, or sign up for our external email list to receive automatic updates on our events (zoom link and additional information are sent out one week in advance).
