My core research and teaching interests encompass stylistics, Conceptual Metaphor Theory, embodied aspects of reading literature, and applications of Cognitive Grammar to literary analysis. I am currently investigating embodiment in spoken word poetry, with a particular focus on metaphors of displacement.
I earned my PhD at the University of Tampere, Finland in 2014 and I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Secondary English from the University of Cumbria, UK (2008).
I am a member of the Linnaeus University Centre for Intermedial and Multimodal Studies (IMS).
