Basim Al-Najjar
ProfessorJag är professor i systemekonomi, grundare av/ VD för E-maintenance Sweden AB och chef för forskargruppen Cost-effective Industrial Asset Management (CeIAM). Min doktorsexamen erhöll jag i Production Management med inriktning mot Terotechnology, Lunds universitet. Min inriktning innefattar också i underhållsteknik och System Engineering.
Systemekonomi (Terotechnology) är en kombination av teknik, management, finansiella och andra metoder tillämpas på fysiska tillgångar för att minska ekonomisk livscykelkostnad.
Jag har flera års industriell erfarenhet från Sverige och utomlands. 2003 och 2008 var jag huvudtalare vid Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia. År 2000 fick jag priset för Excellence av Journal of Quality i Maintenance Engineering, den mest enastående utmärkelsen från MCB University Press. Dessutom har jag tilldelats Tore Danielssons utmärkelse 2002, som motiverades av "hans enastående forskningsresultat och deras användbarhet för svensk industri och till fastställandet av en forskargrupp i Systemekonomi". Under 2009 fick jag stipendium för att vidareutveckla eMDSS (eMaintenance Decision Support System). 2010 fick jag pris av Venture Cup syd för bästa affärsidé. Även ett annat pris tilldelades 2011: Årets Uppfinnarpris. 2016 fick jag Entreprenörpriset för 2016.
Jag är medlem i det vetenskapliga rådet/svenskt underhåll; European Research Network on Strategic Engineering Asset Management, ISEAM (International Society av Engineering Asset management), IFRIM (International Foundation on research in Maintenance) och Cluster för de projekt som ingår under H2020-FoF09. Dessutom sitter jag i redaktionsrådet för flera internationella tidskrifter och konferenser samt är granskare för många ytterligare internationella tidskrifter och konferenser.
Undervisning
Jag har cirka 35 års erfarenhet av undervisning i produktionslogistik, kvalitetsstyrning, kvalitetskontroll, frontiers in quality, teknisk förvaltning, integrerad produktion, förlustminimering i produktionstid, underhållsteknik, operation research & optimization, tillförlitlighetsanalyser, industriell ekonomi, tillståndsövervakningsteknologi, diagnostisk teknik, industriell mätning och analys, felanalys och problemlösning, rapport/artikelskrivningsteknik och forskningsmetodik, och så vidare.
Jag har utvecklat många kurser och utbildningsprogram på olika nivåer; industriellträning/-utbildning, BSc, MSc och forskarutbildning. Dessutom har jag handlett och examinerat tiotals BSc-, MSC- och PhD-studenter och avhandlingar.
Jag har också examinerat avhandlingar från bland annat Australien, Norge, Sverige, Frankrike och England.
Forskning
Jag har cirka 35 års erfarenhet av forskning i produktionsprocesser, kvalitet, livscykelkostnad (LCC), industrial asset management, systemekonomi, kostnadseffektivitet, tillståndsövervakning, underhåll (särskilt tillståndsbaserat underhåll, CBM) och dess inverkan på företagaffärer och tillväxt, operation research and optimization.
Jag har författat cirka 150 publikationer i internationella tidskrifter och konferenser, böcker, kapitel i böcker och rapporter i olika ämnen; underhåll och dess inverkan på produktion, kvalitet, prestanda effektivitet, kostnadseffektivitet, datainsamling, samt i beslutsstödssystem, AI, databaser, med mera.
Begreppet Totalt kvalitetsunderhåll (TQMain) har jag utvecklat. Detta har applicerats i många fallstudier. Nyligen har TQMain använts framgångsrikt i ett par företag i Kina. TQMain-koncept undervisades som en industriell träning/utbildning för underhållspersonalen av Siemens och Alstom Power.
Baserat på mitt forskningsresultat har jag utvecklat tre nya mätinstrument samt Smart eMaintenance beslutsstöd (Smart eMDSS). Smart eMDSS har testats framgångsrikt i biltillverkaren FIAT (Italien) och CNC-maskintillverkaren GORATU (Spanien). Smart eMDSS marknadsförs numera av E-maintenance Sweden AB och flera svenska företag implementerar det nu. Smart eMDSS är ett resultat av Basims deltagande i EU-IP DYNAMITE 2005-2009.
Jag har deltagit i många projekt både nationellt och internationellt:
- Haveriorsaker och alarmnivåer när man använder vibrationsövervakning i producerande maskiner.
- Integrering av data som samlats in från underhåll, produktion, kvalitet och redovisning.
- EUREKA-projektet "Euromaintenance Guidelines" (EU-projekt).
- Att vidmakthålla kvalitet.
- Ekonomisk betydelse av underhållsplanering.
- Integrerad produkt- och processutveckling/förbättring.
- Kontrollera produkternas kvalitet och företagets lönsamhet genom kontrolltillstånd av maskiner och processer.
- En praktisk modell för att välja och förbättra den mest kostnadseffektiva underhållstekniken.
- DYNAMITE (dynamiska beslut i underhåll), EU-6 FP.
- Livscykelbeskrivning och utveckling av metod för att identifiera och bedöma risker i termisk omvandling av biomassa.
- Digitalisering, integration och automatisering av hela tillståndsbaserat underhåll (CBM).
