Diego Perez-Palacin tog sin doktorsexamen i datavetenskap från universitetet i Zaragoza, Spanien. Han är för närvarande lektor på Institutionen för datavetenskap och medieteknik vid Linnéuniversitetet.
Tidigare har han varit postdoktor vid Politecnico di Milano, Italien (2013-2016), och seniorforskare vid University of Zaragoza, Spanien (2017), där han har deltagit i såväl nationella som europeiska FP7 och H2020 forskningsprojekt.
Hans forskningsintressen är inom områdena kvalitetsegenskaper för programvara med speciellt intresse för självadaptiv och inbyggd programvara, modellbaserad analys med formella metoder, självtillpassning under osäkerhet och Software Performance Engineering.
