Gilbert Ambrazaitis
DocentGilbert Ambrazaitis är fil.dr. i fonetik och universitetslektor i svenska som andraspråk vid Institutionen för svenska språket. Han ingår i ett av Linnéuniversitetets spetsforskningscentra (Linnaeus University Centre for Intermedial and Multimodal Studies) samt för närvarande i två externfinansierade forskningsprojekt, i ett fall som forskningsledare. Han är även anknuten till forskningsmiljön Educational linguistics.
Hans verksamhet har fokus på fonetisk grundforskning främst om prosodi – talets rytmiska och melodiska drag. Hans aktuella projekt är inriktade dels mot multimodalitet hos prosodin (samspelet mellan röst och kroppsrörelser) och dels mot barns utveckling av kontrastiv intonation. Gilbert undervisar inom grundkursen i svenska som andraspråk där han framför allt ansvarar för delkursen Fonetik och uttalsundervisning.
