Forskning

The commitment to improve healthcare for persons with psychiatric ill health is the main theme for me as a researcher. After my dissertation, I have engaged in various research projects, with the common that they often are very patient- and clinical oriented. A number of the projects have developed into doctoral thesis work, which also meant assignments as a supervisor for doctoral students. Some of these projects are related to my own thesis work. For example, a project that focuses on being a significant other to persons with emotional instability. Another project did explore various aspects of perfectionism in persons with eating disorders. In one project we studied self-care groups as rehabilitation for persons who are on sick leave for depression, anxiety and stress conditions. One project has problematized what happens when an entire county council begins to embrace "improvement knowledge" as an overall development strategy.
