Jag disputerade i folkhälsovetenskap år 2017 med avhandlingen An intersectional approach in social epidemiology: Understanding health heterogeneity, vid Enheten för socialepidemiologi, Lunds Universitet. Sedan dess har jag arbetat på Genusvetenskapliga institutionen och Medicinska fakulteten, Lunds Universitet. År 2021 blev jag docent i folkhälsovetenskap. Sedan oktober 2022 är jag lektor vid Institutionen för socialt arbete, LNU.
Min forskning rör sig längs kontaktytor mellan folkhälsovetenskapliga eller medicinska och sociala frågor. Jag har forskat om ojämlikheter i hälsa, utifrån ett internationellt perspektiv, samt om våld i nära relationer primärt i svensk kontext. För närvarande studerar jag tillsammans med Lena Gunnarsson attityder inför samt alternativa kunskapsanspråk om kopparspiral och HPV-vaccin, främst som de framkommer och diskuteras i svenska sociala medier (Forte, 2018-00951). Från 2023 jobbar jag med Lena Gunnarsson och Evelina Johansson Wilén i projektet Ofrivilligt celibat och singelskap: Genus och sårbarhet i den prekära kärlekens tid (VR, 2021-01130).
