Professor i miljögeokemi, där fokus är på miljöns kemiska tillstånd och hur det styrs av naturliga processer och påverkas av människans framfart.

Undervisar i miljögeokemi.
Forskning
Forskningstemat är geokemiska processer och mönster i den boreala zonen. I ytmiljön är fokus på sura sulfatjordar och estuarie- och havssediment, och i djupare miljöer studerar vi sekundära mineral och grundvatten i berggrundens spricksystem. Ofta görs multielementbestämningar, man många studier fokuserar också på en eller ett par element, bland annat de sällsynta jordartsmetallerna, beryllium eller järn.
Finansiering erhålls från Formas, Vetenskapsrådet, Naturvårdsverket, Sveriges Geologiska Undersökning, Svensk Kärnbränslehantering, och EU Botnia-Atlantica programmet.
Uppdrag
Deltar som expert i projekten KLIVA och STASIS, vilka är finansierade av EU´s interregprogram Botnia-Atlantica.
