Jag har verkat vid Linnéuniversitetet (tidigare Växjö universitet) sedan 2000 som undervisande lärare och som programansvarig kombinerat med forskarutbildning och forskning. Förutom undervisning och forskning är jag intresserad av pedagogiska utvecklingsfrågor. Bl.a. är jag representant för universitetet i CDIO, ett internationellt pedagogiskt initiativ kring ingenjörsutbildningar (www.cdio.org). I dag arbetar jag främst med forskning, utbildningsutveckling, samverkan samt utbildning på grundnivå och avancerad nivå.
Undervisning
Mina undervisningsämnen är främst underhåll, projektledning, affärssystem samt industriell styrning. Jag undervisar även kurser inom forskningsmetodik och självständigt arbete på kandidat- och masternivå. Jag har tidigare undervisat i databasdesign och industriella IT-system. Undervisningen är främst knuten till institutionens högskoleingenjörsutbildningar samt mastern Innovation genom ekonomi, teknik och design.
Forskning
Mitt forskningsområde generellt är industriell styrning. Min forskning är främst inriktad på data- och IT-behov för underhållsstyrning, samt hur man kan stödja underhåll med hjälp av IT för att uppnå kostnadseffektivitet. Jag arbetar i dagsläget med affärsmodeller kopplade till underhåll och andra eftermarknadsaktiviteter samt med teknikmognad i specifika industrier, t.ex. kopplat till industri 4.0. Jag är forskningsledare för projektet HUG, Hållbart underhåll av grusväg. Jag var även projektledare för projektet Teknik- och naturvetenskaplig utbildning på lika villkor.

Uppdrag
Jag har suttit i anställningsnämnden på fakulteten för Teknik, och var tidigare ledamot i fakultetsstyrelsen. Just nu är jag suppleant i fakultetssyrelsen.
2016 till 2017 var jag biträdande projektledare för Linnaeus Technical Centre 2020 (LTC). Projektet LTC arbetade för att stärka konkurrenskraft, kompetens och lönsamhet för teknikföretagen i Linnéregionen, men speciellt fokus på de små- och medelstora företagen.
Jag arbetar även med universitetspedagogisk forskning och utvecklingsarbete. Projekt knutna till detta område som jag deltagit i:
Skogens och dess produkter – inriktning entreprenörskap, 2015
Syftet med projektet var att kartlägga förutsättningarna för, samt behoven av, ett utbildningspaket inom området skogen och dess produkter med tydlig inriktning mot entreprenörskap med målet att utveckla ett högskoleingenjörsprogram samt ett masterprogram inom definierat område. Datainsamling skedde främst genom intervjuer, enkäter och fokusgruppsdiskussioner med berörda aktörer såsom studenter, alumner och industrirepresentanter.
Breddad och fördjupad samverkan mellan Linnéuniversitetet och näringslivet i Linnéregionen: delprojekt MINIMOOCS, 2015
För att kunna tillgodogöra kompetensutvecklingsbehoven för industriföretagen i region Linné krävs att vi erbjuder möjligheter att utveckla sig på den nivå man befinner sig. Syftet med detta projekt var att skapa en Mini-MOOC, d.v.s. ett kort webbaserat lärmoment i form av film, text, bild och uppföljningsfrågor, som matchar det behov som de tillverkande företagen i regionen har. Dessa är främst små- och medelstora enheter med relativt låg formell kompetensnivå. Mini-MOOCs kan användas i ett flertal syften: som korta introduktioner till ämnen och kunskapsområden, som marknadsföring av universitetets utbud, som exemplifiering av begrepp och metoder i ordinarie kursen, för att nämna några.
