Forskning

My essential fields of exploration are Image Processing Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence (AI). I am keenly interested in issues with medical image segmentation, which can be accomplished in many ways. I have been doing this using several methods starting from manual segmentation. Currently, I am working on an automatic segmentation technique based on machine learning. I have formulated applications in biomedical imaging based on qualitative and quantitative analysis. Therefore, my experimental work combines both hypothetical and useful parts of medical image analysis.
During my Ph.D. I have worked on many projects funded by Different agencies in South Korea. Most of these projects were based on medical image segmentation.
Current Work
Forest Attributes. Machine Learning and Neural Network Innovations
We utilized field data obtained from the Swedish National Forest Inventory (NFI), coupled with area-based metrics derived from the Swedish national airborne laser scanning (ALS). The data originated from the comprehensive permanent sample of the NFI, covering the entire country. This field data encompasses various biophysical parameters collected from survey plots, including stem volume (V) measured in cubic meters per hectare (m³ ha⁻¹), above-ground biomass (AGB) expressed in tons per hectare (ton ha⁻¹), basal area (B) in square meters per hectare (m² ha⁻¹), basal area-weighted mean tree height (H) in meters (m) and basal area-weighted mean stem diameter (Dgv) in centimeters (cm).
