Tamara Ann Tinner is a PhD student in history in the Global Humanities Programme at the Faculty of Arts. She is also a member of the Linnaeus University Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies and of the research Cluster for Colonial Connections and Comparisons. Her PhD project "Fashioning Philippine Muslims and the Multifaceted Global Archive" explores cross-cultural encounters between Philippine Muslim, Spanish, and U.S. American actors at the turn of the twentieth century by using fashion as the entry point. Her research interests include the history of the Philippines especially of the Muslim South, history of Southeast Asia, Global History, fashion history, gender, material and visual culture, methods and theories in history.
