Hosting knowings: Intermedial practices of collaborative knowledge-making
Welcome to day of dialogue between artistic practice and humanist research with the infrastructures, practices and mediation of knowledge in focus.
Last fall, artist Kibandu Pello-Esso and curator Ida Bencke participated in Region Kronoberg's research-based residency HULT. During their stay in Kronoberg, they met local actors and immersed themselves in conversations about marginalized rural knowledge, village aesthetics and alternative economies. They met and engaged with researchers at LNU.
The exhibition Hosting Knowings at Växjö art gallery can be described as an alternative library building where we jointly contribute with thoughts, knowledge and objects. It is an invitation to the public in and around Växjö Konsthall to take part in and continuously reshape the exhibition space, and to participate in curating its content
On Wednesday, February 19, LNU’s center for Intermedial and multimodal Studies (IMS), the academic partner of HULT residency, welcomes you to a dialogue between artistic practice and humanist research about infrastrucutes, practices and media of knowledge exchange.
