FONETIK 2025 – The 35th Swedish Phonetics Conference
The 35th annual Swedish Phonetics Conference, FONETIK 2025, took place from May 21 to 23 at Linnaeus University in Växjö . One highlight was a lab visit and demonstration at LiLa Lab (Linnaeus University Language, Cognition, and Culture Lab), which took place on Thursday afternoon.
The conference included a keynote lecture by Dr. Florence Baills from the University of Lleida, titled "Embodied Pronunciation Training: Achievements and Challenges".
More than 20 researchers and PhD students presented during eight sessions. Topics covered many areas of phonetics and speech science.
The program was diverse and engaging, and on Thursday evening, there was a conference dinner downtown.
