Brinda is a doctoral student in the Global Humanities PhD Program at the Department of Cultural Sciences in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Linnaeus University. She is also a member of the Linnaeus University Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial studies and part of the Cluster on Colonial Connections and Comparisons. Her research interests include South Asian histories, borderlands studies, historical anthropology and environmental history. Brinda's current PhD project focuses on historicizing the Eastern Himalayan Borderlands in the Northeast of India within the geo-politics of territorial expansion between India and China in the 20th century.
